Our coffee trailer's story began with a serendipitous meeting on the shore of Sunset Beach in the summer of 2021. It was there that Ryan and I first shared our dreams of one day owning our own restaurant, a dream that we quickly realized we shared.
As our love for each other blossomed, so did our vision for a coffee shop that would offer not just great coffee, but also a warm and welcoming environment where people could connect over a meal and a drink made with care and passion.
My own journey towards becoming a barista began almost 5 years ago, working in local coffee shops in the bustling city of Toronto. Meanwhile, Ryan's culinary training began over 14 years ago, as a young boy working in kitchens all over Saskatchewan to Northern and Southern Ontario.
In November of 2022, with mum always believing in us, and some of her help, Ryan and I purchased a trailer that would serve as the foundation for our coffee shop. It seemed like everything was falling into place, and we were excited to embark on this new adventure together.
However, tragedy struck on January 12th, 2023, when Ryan was involved in a workplace explosion that left him in life-threating conditions. My Love held on as long as he could, and he passed away with his family by his side the very next morning. He had been planning to quit his job and join me full-time in our coffee shop, but fate had other plans.
Despite this devastating loss, with the help of our community and family, we were able to carry on with our dream of opening our coffee shop. We strive to honor Ryan's memory and his unwavering belief that "everything is going to be alright" by infusing every aspect of our business with the same passion and dedication that he had for life.
For us, it's not just about serving great coffee, but about creating a welcoming and inclusive space where people can come together to enjoy good food, good company, and good conversation. Ryan's philosophy that a good conversation is best paired with a meal and a beverage made with love and passion will always be at the heart of everything we do.

Born to Russell and Teresa Konkin Tuesday Oct 29 1985 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Ryan was always an adventurous soul, he enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, fishing and a good laugh. he was a family man an one of the most caring souls that ever walked this earth; always caring deeply for his siblings, son and those he loved. to me he was my absolute everything, my best friend, my loving fiance, and my partner and number one fan in all our shared dreams and new endeavors.
He and his father dreamed of opening a fry truck together when he was just a boy, and his love for cooking accompanied him along the entire way.
it was when He and I met at sunset beach that we talked endlessly about meals and bonded over the same dream as i told him about me hopes for a coffee trailer one day.
Ryan got to see the dream begin to unfold we purchased the trailer together in November before he was tragically killed at a workplace explosion at SSonix Industries, Jan 13 2023
He will forever live on in our hearts leaving behind a legacy to fight for workplace safety so no other family grieves this way again
